Mary Wellman, Chair

Mary Wellman graduated from Osler School of Nursing in Toronto as a Registered Nurse and began her career as an emergency nurse at Victoria Hospital in London, Ontario. She went on to work at Ford Motor Company as a nurse, then worked in labour relations and finally in Medical Sales. From there Mary became the Director of Operations at Med Care in Toronto. In 1995 Mary started her business, Medical Priorities, a Home Health Care Agency. In 2010 Mary joined the Board of Directors at the McCormick Care Foundation and is currently the Chair of the Board of Directors. Mary sits on all the committees and is the Chair of the 2018 Ritz.

Richard Wozniak Vice Chair/Secretary-Treasurer

Banking career for 30 plus years. Primary experience in retail and commercial banking for major Schedule "A" banks in Ontario. Former registered representative and Investment advisor. Account management for diverse industries including not for profit, insurance brokerage, manufacturing, residential and commercial construction, Telecommunications, and Real Estate. Experienced in areas of succession for business, leveraged buyouts and cash flow lending. Presently Senior Commercial Manager for BMO Bank of Montreal, London, Ontario. Richard is currently the Chair of the Finance Committee, Vice Chair and Secretary Treasurer of the Board of Directors.


Penny Arvai

Penny Arvai

Penny graduated from the University of Western Ontario with a B.A. in History.  For over the past 30 years, she has worked with her husband, Karl Arvai, in his law practice "Arvai Personal Injury Lawyers" and is now retired.  She has been a member of King's University College Board and during that time was Chair for 3 years of "Music Reigns", a major fundraiser for King's. Penny also was a member of  the Eating Disorders Foundation Board of Canada focusing primarily in development.   In 2012, she joined the Capital Campaign committee to raise funds for the construction of  St. Joseph's Hospice. Now, Penny eagerly looks forward to working with the members of the McCormick Home Foundation Board.

Ross leads independent Retirement Residences in the City of London and Kitchener.

Ross Chapin brings 40 years of broad-based experience to retirement living. Having received his C.A. designation in 1977, he has been involved in the creation of 3 new Corporations all of which addressed a void in the spectrum of services and care provided to the market place by industry and government. His care for the person, whether it is an individual with dementia who has a need for an appropriate place to live in a dignified life, or a staff member who is on their life long journey of learning, influences the decisions he makes. Ross and his wife Cathy live just outside of St. Marys Ontario. Ross currently sits on the Finance Committee of the McCormick Care Foundation.


Ian Hills

Ian is a Chartered Professional Accountant and Partner with Ford Keast LLP. He was born and raised in London, received a Bachelor of Mathematics from the University of Waterloo, then returned to London to pursue his career. Ian has been working with charities, non-profit organizations and long-term care facilities for over 15 years. Ian currently sits on the Finance Committee of the McCormick Care Foundation.

Paul Morrissey
Paul Morrissey is a life-long Londoner and graduate of Western University. He is a partner at the London law firm, Siskinds LLP, and for the past 27 years, has provided institutional, corporate and private clients with legal services and representation before courts and tribunals on various matters including human resources, estates, insurance, contract and property issues, human rights, municipal issues and regulatory compliance. Paul has previously been a member of boards for 5 other community organizations. Paul coached youth soccer at various levels for 18 years, but with his seven children now grown up, he is now looking forward to spending more time exploring Ontario rivers in his canoe and engaging in community issues that are important to him, including elder care and protecting the rights of vulnerable individuals. Paul currently is the Chair of teh Fund Development Committee of the McCormick Care Foundation. He is serving on the Finance Committee.

Paul Needham

Elizabeth Singh

Paul has been a licenced Funeral Director in London since 1987. He has owned and operated Westview Funeral Chapel since it's opening in 1997. In 2002 he married his wife, Heidi. Together they enjoy their friends, family and are active in various sports including golf, tennis, trap and skeet shooting and fitness training. Paul is called upon to sit on any of the existing committees of the McCormick Care Foundation. Paul was instrumental in bringing all of the area funeral homes together in March 2017 to learn about the Foundation.

Elizabeth Singh

Elizabeth Singh

Elizabeth Singh worked at McCormick Home for 32 years retiring as Director of Nursing Care. During this time she was involved in planning and participating in many educational opportunities related to Care of the Elderly. Elizabeth served 9 years on the Board of Directors, retired for a year and came back to serve another 3 year term. Elizabeth is on the Fund Development Committee as well as serving to volunteer for the Ritz 2018. She is also involved with Outreach and Refugee Committees in the community and is kept busy with her 9 grandchildren.


Greta Soan  

Greta Soan

Greta has supported her husband Ted as a co-owner when he started Soan Mechanical Ltd. in 1981 and as the company grew, taking over roles required. These roles exposed her to employee relations, management, accounting and more. With a succession plan in place, she is able to enjoy semi retirement giving her an opportunity to volunteer for a cause close to her heart.
