A Workshop with Dr. Stephen G. Post and Dr. Pia Kontos

A Workshop with

Dr. Stephen G. Post and Dr. Pia Kontos

Dr. Post and Dr. Kontos will share their belief that those living with dementia can experience moments of personal growth, human development and spiritual expansion.

Services to McCormick Dementia Services and Highview Residences agree with the philosophy that it is more important to ‘be with than to do to’ when serving
those living with dementia.

A celebration of caring and sharing

Highview Residences specializes in providing permanent and respite care to individuals with Alzheimer’s disease and related dementia, and to the frail elderly.

Our home-like setting creates an atmosphere that is inviting and comfortable. This sense of home strengthens feelings of belonging and security while reducing feelings of loneliness and confusion; important to the resident, their family and to Highview Residences. Formerly known as Alzheimer Outreach Services, McCormick Dementia Services has been committed to delivering the highest quality programs and services to clients and their caregivers since 1985 and offers the largest day program of its kind in Ontario. We provide strategies, counselling, support groups and ongoing education to help maintain quality of life for those facing the challenges of dementia.

The McCormick Care Foundation fundraises and accepts donations to enhance the quality of programming McCormick Dementia Services provides.

Dr. Stephen G. Post’s book “The Moral Challenge of Alzheimer Disease” will be available in limited quantities at the event.
